'Kindergarten Fight Club' in China gets teacher suspended

NANJING, CHINA — Injuries to five children in a kindergarten class have landed a teacher in Nanjing in some hot water for organizing a fight club to allow her students to let off some steam on April 15.
In an effort to channel the high amounts of energy her students had, she came up with the idea of facilitating a fight club, letting the toddlers duke it, bare-knuckle style. In an interview with Shanghaiist, she was quoted as saying "Since they were all so energetic, I got the idea to let them practice boxing and see who would win," she said.
The students went home with scratches and bruises that day, leading parents to question things. The little fighters fessed up, and the teacher has since been suspended.
In total, five boys were injured, one of them even having his spine knocked out of alignment. The school's principal commented that the kids are too weak to be participating in a fight club.
