Ruling but living like a common man

Once upon a time, culture of rulers living like common man was practiced by Muslim rulers and they conquered the world.Today such culture is practiced by Christian countries like USA,UK,Norway,Germany,Denmark,Sweden,Finland & others. Look at the Monarchs in Muslim countries under label of democracy or Royalty, their lifestyle & wealth both have nothing in common with a common man.
