Women Enter Trimbakeshwar Temple : Right to Pray

The women activists of Pune-based Swarajya Mahila Sanghathana become the first devotees to worship lord Shiva inside the sanctorum of the temple, where the entry of women was prohibited for at least 500 years. This sparked protest from villagers, who called for a bandh in Trimbakeshwar on Thursday.
