Dehradun, Apr 16 (ANI): Shaktiman, a 14-year-old police horse, was injured severely during a clash between workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the police in Dehradun on march 14, which required his left leg to be amputated. The horse is anything but ordinary. The decorated equine has been a regular feature of Republic Day parade. At the time of the incident, then Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat said no animal should be dragged into such kinds of incidents. Shaktimaan, after being allegedly attacked by BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi, has found a friend in the United States who has specially flow a down to fet him with a prosthetic limb. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Nautiyal, who is taking care of Shaktimaan said his condition is much better and his wounds are healing. Shaktimaan is currently undergoing treatment at a makeshift camp in Dehradun. Dr. Nautiyal said he is making a remarkable progress with each passing day.
