Surat, (Gujarat), Apr 03 (ANI): In an attempt to be listed under Guinness World Records, a businessman organised a mass marriage ceremony in Gujarat where as many as 1121 tribal couples tied the nuptial knot on Saturday. Around 40,000 people were present at the ceremony organised by businessman, Rakesh Garg. A consultant, Guinness World Records, Ashwin Sudani said that all necessary documents and video clippings would be sent to the jury for review. Mass marriages are conducted to help the deprived sections of the society lead a normal life as such people otherwise face difficulties to find a life partner. These are usually conducted by non-governmental organizations or social service groups. Guinness book of World Records is a reference book published annually which lists world records.
