X Factor India - X Factor India Season-1 Episode 21 - Full Episode - 23rd July, 2011

This episode's theme is India. So, the contestants will pay a tribute to their country with their performances. The show starts with National Award winning music directors of the movie Singham, Atul Gogavale and Ajay Gogavale, who dedicated their performance to Lord Ganesha. Shreya Ghoshal also joins them on stage and performs on 'Saathiyaa', her latest song from the movie Singham. Deewana Group presents their passionate singing on 'Zindagi Maut Na Ban Jaye'. Performing a Sonu Nigam song in front of the man himself and that too justifying it makes them earn good comments from the Judge Gurus. Amit Jhadav enters the blazing stage with his performance on 'Rind Posh Maal'. Full of energy and confidence, he knocks the stage with his storming dance moves and superb singing. Judge Gurus can't stop praising him for his hard work. Shreya Ghoshal gets on the stage to hug him for making her proud. Nirmitee makes a volcanic entry with their refurbished version of 'Jai Ho' and mix it with many different lyrics from various songs including another A.R. Rehman hit 'Roobaroo'. Judge Gurus appreciate them for their synchronization to add different songs and present in same flavour, the essence of India. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shreya Ghoshal give them a hug too. Geet Sagar performs fervently on 'Lakshya'. After the performance, video recording of Geet Sagar is shown where he expresses his frustration of not getting good comments from the Judge Gurus, on which he tries to defend himself by saying that it is an edited clip. The judges reply him that it is very obvious that it's an unedited one shot and also tell him that the comments that they give are only for his improvement. Seema Jha shows her undying spirit with her expressive performance on 'Mausam Ki Adla Badli'. Everyone gets touched with her sensational act. Sanjay Leela Bhansali gives her a hug and rose. Aditya Narayan shows a clip where he shares a dramatized backstage fun where the contestants yearn to get the famous rose from Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Kartar Singh performs on 'Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein'. Judge Gurus appreciate his effort, but they suggest him to do better next time. Sajda Sisters tell the importance of family in Indian tradition with their performance on 'Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai'. Judge Gurus admire them for their effortless and soothing singing. The episode comes to an end with the announcement of the performer of the week award, which once again goes to Seema Jha for her unswerving performances on 'Piya Bina' and 'Mausam Ki Adla Badli'.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Needless to say, one of India's greatest film makers having moved hearts right from his first film, Khamoshi -- The Musical to Hum Dil Chuke Sanam to Guzaarish, this producer, writer, director and recently turned musician has received several accolades for his creativity abilities. As one of the judges for X FACTOR INDIA' Sanjay has vowed to pick only the best.
Shreya Ghoshal: For Shreya life has come full circle, from a being a contestant on a reality show to being the judge on the biggest music reality show on Indian television. This gifted singer's first film "Devdas" not only saw her getting a Filmfare 'RD. Burman Award for New Music Talent' but also the 'best female playback singer' award. After lending her voice in more than 180 films and receiving four National Film Awards, she is all set to win hearts in her new avatar as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA.
