Former Labour leader Ed Miliband has told the BBC the UK can better tackle challenges like income inequality and climate change from within the European Union.
In an interview with the BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg, he said other senior Labour figures, including Jeremy Corbyn, would be making the case for EU membership in the coming weeks.
He said David Cameron would not be able to persuade undecided Labour supporters about the benefits of staying in and that it was his party's job to do that ahead of the referendum on 23 June.
