Islamabad, Mar 19 (ANI): World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan, now a leading Pakistani politician, left Islamabad to watch Saturday's Pakistan-India World Cup Twenty20 clash in the Kolkata city and also share a few words of wisdom with the team ahead of the match.
Imran Khan, who lifted the winning trophy of ICC ODI Cricket World Cup, 1992, will also commentate for Sky Sports. He and former superstar Wasim Akram will meet the Pakistan team just before the match on Saturday (March 19) to give "experience-based pressure-assuage tips" to the players. Pakistan have never defeated India in a World Cup match but coach Waqar Younis is confident his team can break the jinx against the hosts who are smarting from a thumping defeat against New Zealand in their tournament opener. Imran said that Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee had invited him for a meeting adding that the people-to-people contacts were necessary for improved relations between the two countries.
