Flintstones Town of Bedrock movie set (Old VHS footage) Vasquez Rocks Pt1 V13827

In this recently digitized footage taken from old (and not so great quality) VHS tapes, we get to visit the town of Bedrock - a movie set constructed in Vasquez Rocks County Park (Agua Dulce, California) for the real-life action movie The Flintstones which was being filmed in May of 1993. \r

The set was actually opened to the public for a short time, allowing anyone with a camera to go back in time and be filmed standing on the prehistoric streets of the cartoon-turned-reality town, and even in front of Fred or Barneys house! Aside from the amazing props and set construction at the time, Vasquez Rocks was already a well-known movie-filming location and provided some great prehistoric landscapes for other movies, including Star Trek and numerous old-time westerns.\r

One of the most striking sights was the modern day cars parked in the prehistoric driveways =) Enjoy the time warp!\r
