The 2014 State of the Nation Address by President Aquino, his fifth in his six-year presidency, became once again an event to show off gowns worn by lady solons and wives of Senate and House male members who came to the Batasan complex in Quezon City to listen to the Sona. Fashion critics zeroed in on Sen. Nancy Binay’s gown, a rather unflattering two-piece ensemble consisting of a long-sleeved blouse and multicolored, ankle-length tulip skirt.
