Blues in F – Evan Christopher Regina Carter 2002
While performing with George Wein’s All Stars at the 2002 Bern Jazz Festival these two young musicians gave an outstanding performance playing just a simple blues. This was part of a tune with quite a few more soloists, but it would take longer than 10 minutes all together and I thought it would be good to just feature Evan and Regina. The other musicians backing them are George Wein piano,Rodney Jones guitar, James King bass and Alvin Queen drums and some riffing by Warren Vache cornet and Fesse Davis alto sax.
