Baby Gorilla Delivered by Rare Caesarean Section at Bristol Zoo

Those little fingers belong to a baby Western lowland gorilla, who was delivered safely after a successful operation of a rare emergency caesarean section procedure at Bristol Zoo Gardens on February 12. Weighing nearly 3 pounds, the baby ape was delivered after her mother Kera showed symptoms of potentially life-threatening pre-eclampsia.
