All aboard! - Apprentices at the Meyer shipyard | Made in Germany

The Meyer-Weft in Papenburg, in northwest Germany, specializes in cruise liners carrying several thousand passengers. The luxury ships are outfitted by specially trained mechanics - one of ten professions youngsters can learn here. The training programs are both comprehensive and demanding, due to the variety of skills involved. All 60 apprentices taken on here every year will later be employed by the shipyard.
