Nirvana trolls TV show for making them play to a backing track

Kurt evidently tripped his balls off on acid the night after they filmed this... a fax he sent Courtney Love about it was auctioned recently. It reads like he was completely out of his mind in this really traditional, proper British hotel room. He talks about having "controlled, repetitive hallucinations" or something.
Top of the Pops is the worst garbage... they forced every band to pull this fake shit instead of simply letting them play. I can kinda understand if it's the Spice Girls, but you can't force this
