Syria says foreign aggressors 'will return in their coffins'

The Syrian foreign minister, Walid al-Moallem, warns that his country will resist any ground incursion into its territory. Speaking at a news conference in Damascus, Moallem forbids foreign powers from sending ground troops to the beleaguered nation without the express permission of the Syrian government. The foreign minister’s comments come a fortnight after US vice-president, Joe Biden, said he was not ruling out military action against Isis in Syria.
