Keystone cops looking for burglar use Taser on school cleaning lady

COLLEGEDALE, TENNESSEE — A school cleaning lady got the shock of her life when police who mistook her for a burglar lit her up with a Taser.
Juana Raymundo, 36, was cleaning at the Ooltewah Middle School in Collegedale, Tennessee on the night of Jan. 11, according to WRCB.
Two police officers on patrol near the school noticed an open front door and decided to investigate. The officers drew their firearms because the school had been burgled in the past, WRCB reported.
After spotting some cleaning supplies near a student restroom area, the officers then saw Raymundo, who was wearing a cleaner's uniform.
The officers asked her in English to identify herself, WRCB reported. The only problem? The cleaner from Guatemala, who is in the U.S. legally, only speaks Spanish.
The officers switched to Raymundo's native language, but the cleaner made a run for it, leading the cops on a chase through the school cafeteria, down some stairs and out onto the parking lot, WRCB reported.
That's when one of the officers deployed his stun gun on Raymundo.
Raymundo was charged with evading arrest and released on a $750 bond. It is unclear why she ran, according to WCRB.
