"Soham, a young man in his late 20's is shot dead at his baraat. The cop arrive and all they have with them are photographs of the dead body and its surrounding area, the murder weapon- a gun, which is found near Soham's dead body. After seeing the photographs and footage of the video, cops realize that the noise of the gunshot was camouflaged with the noise of the bursting crackers and also the vision became very hazy during that time because of the smoke. The cops get their first lead in the case after visiting Soham's office where they find a NOC from Soham stating that after his wedding to Priya, he transfers all of his ownership rights of his father's property in Jamsehdpur and also whatever else he has left behind for both the brothers in his will to Mayank. The document is unsigned. Mayankis now their prime suspect and he is questioned.
Through Maynak, the cops learn that Vijay (Soham's former flat mate) had threatened to kill Soham. The cops meet Vijay and there they learn that Vijay had actually fractured his leg on the day of Soham's wedding and was in a drunken stupor. The cops further learn that Soham had betrayed Vijay by wooing Priya who Vijay had liked. On searching Soham's room, they find 3 post office bills which are for having sent couriers to a particular post box number. They find the whole thing very strange that he sent couriers to someone and maybe even received them, and that too all the bills were dated within the last couple of weeks only.
At the post box, they find a few exchange of couriers and realize some one was trying to blackmail him. They also find a Xerox copy of a particular page of marriage registrar's page of a particular date along with Soham and Parul's name. The only lead that the cops get from the couriers was that someone was blackmailing Soham because this someone knew that Soham was already married. They soon get the address from the registrar office and go there, only to find a cottage burnt to ashes. The cops then learn that the house got fire when the husband was away and the wife died in the fire. They then learn that there was a missing report filed by Soham on a particular date for his gun as it had got stolen from his office. The cops then realize that the person who killed him was the one who had stolen his gun that too from his own office. The cops soon realize that Parul is the killer and she stole the gun from Soham's office. Parul is caught and she confesses to committing the crime. She eveals that it was vengeance she was looking for as she learned that Soham had actually burned the cottage and wanted her dead in order to get her out of the way.
