Ravindra Jadeja's sensational catch to dismiss Shane Watson

New Delhi: Australians are fierce competitors and great performers. They have set the standards so high that it is very difficult to impress them. But on Friday, during the 2nd T20 at the MCG, they were literally stunned by Ravindra Jadeja, who took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Shane Watson.
India had already made some headway in the match but needed a couple of wickets more to completely end Australia’s chances in the match. And Jadeja’s brilliant catch off his own bowling provided just that.
India knew that despite Australia’s difficult position, Watson is a kind of batsman who can change the complexion of the game any time. So, they were desperate to see Watson’s back.
On the second ball of the 15th over, Watson tried to hit an over-pitched delivery straight over Jadeja’s head, but the left-arm spinner plucked it so easily that it looked like a dolly. There was hardly half-a-second reaction time for Jadeja to pluck that bullet of a catch.
While all the eyes were on the ducking umpire, the best reaction came from Watson himself. The Australian all-rounder simply couldn’t believe that the shot that was expected to get him four runs, had been caught like nothing. Watson simply stood there in disbelief – more bemused than disappointed. Though he had to leave the field immediately, his expressions suggested that he was mighty impressed by the effort of his former Rajasthan Royals (RR) team-mate.
