Sidneys world-class National Dance Academy holds its annual audition process. Among the hopefuls are Christian Reed, who does everything right except bring a leotard, and sheep rancher Neil Websters naive daughter, Tara, who soon discovers shes not nearly as ready as she taught (making a spectacle of herself even when not tricked by her shrewd roommate, Abigail), yet whose natural talent may still make her lifelong ballet-dream come true.
