Includes general tips on hair brushing & hair straightening your American Girl dolls, and before and after shots. I use this technique whenever I take the meet braids out of my dolls, because Im impatient and dont want half-wavy / half straight hair :)
Im sorry that this video is super fast - it would take over an hour in real time.
DISCLAIMER:
1. You must be an adult AG collector or own the doll/have parents permission,
2. Do it at your own risk - customised AG dolls will not be accepted by AG hospital for repairs
3. Be prepared to burn your fingers, hair straighteners can get hot, hot, hot!
4. Be prepared to potentially ruin the dolls hair in your first-ever swap so dont practise on your most beloved doll / use TLC doll to learn hair straightening!!! AG Dolls hair is essentially plastic, so too much heat will melt it, and it cant be fixed!
5. Watch lots of tutorials
And if in any doubt, dont do it!
As an overseas AG fan, I had to learn this skill to be able to fix and customise my dolls myself.
P.S. Our M-G was in no way harmed during the making of this video. However, she has now donated her wig to our Marisol, whose wig was in a bad state, and this M-G is awaiting a new wig, and a new name.
