Bipasha Basu, born on 7th January 1979, at New Delhi, is an Indian model and actress.
She has two sisters Bidisha and Bijeyta. She was a tom boy in her childhood and was called Lady Don in the school.
Bipasha Basu started her modeling career and in the year 1996 and she won the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel Contest of the year and also the Ford Super Model Contest Of The World.
After winning this award she flew to New York sponsored by Ford and she has modeled and endorsed lots of products over the years till date. She has appeared in about 40 magazine covers till date.
Bipasha made her debut in Hindi films in 2001 in a movie Ajnabee opposite Akshay Kumar and won the award for the best female debut by film fare.
Later on she has played some memorable roles in movies like Jism, Raaz, No Entry, Aankhen, Corporate, Omkara, Phir Hera Pheri, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Lamha, Jodi Breakers, and Players. She is a favorite of director duo Abass Mustan and has acted in most of the movies directed by them.
