King Vikramaditya was as large king like he is ascetic. He learned from his tenacity that they are now more than six months to live. Considering his impending death, he had built a hut in the forest and began to spend time meditating leftovers from governance.

तीसवीं पुतली जयलक्ष्मी ने जो कथा कही वह इस प्रकार है- राजा विक्रमादित्य जितने बड़े राजा थे उतने ही बड़े तपस्वी। उन्होंने अपने तप से जान लिया कि वे अब अधिक से अधिक छ: महीने जी सकते हैं। अपनी मृत्यु को आसन्न समझकर उन्होंने वन में एक कुटिया बनवा ली तथा राजकाज से बचा हुआ समय साधना में बिताने लगे।
