South Africa misses deadline to meet AGOA deal conditions

South Africa moves into the endgame in talks aimed at preserving its commercial relationship with the US, after Pretoria misses a key trade deadline set by Washington. Also, the UN says it will need 20 billion dollars in aid money this year, an amount that's ten times what was needed a decade ago. Many of the countries needing help are in Africa.

And after years of conflict, Somalia's economy may be turning a corner, particularly when it comes to its property markets.
