Real leaders do not shy away from accountability. As some grieving parents staged a protest in Peshawar today, Chairman Imran Khan invited them on stage to speak their heart out about any grievances against the KP government. As the parents took to stage, their main demands were a judicial commission, hangings of those involved, and an open revelation to the nation as to exactly who it was who masterminded the attack. The nation still does not know.
While these are demands beyond the scope of the provincial government, Chairman Imran Khan promised the parents full support and said he would do everything in his capacity to ensure that all was done to facilitate the demands of the parents, and then as a father himself who understands the pain, he hugged the father who was protesting.
