PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA — Mark Zuckerberg has become a daddy and, along with his wife Priscilla, has vowed to donate $45 billion dollars in Facebook shares to the next generation, according to an emotional post by the Facebook founder.
Mark's wife Dr Priscilla Chan gave birth to their daughter Max earlier this week and made the pledge on Tuesday afternoon. Before the birth the couple suffered three miscarriages while trying for a baby!.
In a lengthy letter posted to his Facebook page (how appropriately meta), Papa and Mama Zuck promised to give away 99 percent of their Facebook shares to their daughter's generation. According to Zuck, that's about $45 billion dollars.
Explaining their decision, they wrote: "Max, we love you and feel a great responsibility to
leave the world a better place for you and all children. We wish you a life filled with the
same love, hope and joy you give us. We can't wait to see what you bring to this world."
