Four former US Air Force service members have criticized America’s drone war, saying it is killing people, But not the right ones.

In an open letter to US President Barack Obama, the former servicemen argue that the killing of civilians in drone attacks act as one of the most devastating driving forces for ISIL and other terrorist groups. They warned Obama that the targeted killings fuel hatred, ignite terrorism, and serve as a recruitment tool for terrorist groups. The U-S drone campaign began as part of the so-called war on terror under former president George W Bush and expanded under Obama. The Pentagon claims the unmanned aircraft only target militants, but the facts on the ground show a huge number of civilians being killed in the air raids in several Muslim countries, including Pakistan and Afghanistan.
