A US sheriff's department says it has begun an investigation after videos emerged, apparently showing an officer throwing a female pupil across a classroom. The incident is said to have happened at the Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Lt Curtis Wilson of Richland County Sheriff Department told a press conference that the student had refused to leave the classroom.
