The Ballad Of Camp Casey is dedicated to Cindy Sheehan, her son Casey, and all who have suffered loss in the Iraq war.

The Ballad Of Camp Casey
by Larry Heyl

I'm going down to Crawford.
Gonna put an end to war.
Gonna talk to the president
And I'll give him what for.

I'm going to Camp Casey.
Gonna sleep beside the road
And when you smirk and swagger here's what I'll say.

Too many died
Because you lied.
They crossed that river deep and wide.

We love our kids.
Look at what you did.
Sent them to the other side.

You know I loved that boy.
And I loved my daughter so.
I ain't never gonna see
my brother anymore.

My kids are gonna grow up
Never knowing their own dad.
So when you smirk and swagger here's what I'll say.

Too many died.
Because you lied.
They crossed that river deep and wide.

We love our kids.
Look at what you did.
Sent them to the other side.
