Marvel Comics announced last year that black superhero Sam Wilson — formerly known as The Falcon — would soon inherit another iconic character's mantle and name: Captain America. In it, Wilson fights a new enemy: the Sons of the Serpent, a recurring Marvel supervillain group characterized by their extreme, racist attitude. Now the hosts of Fox News' Fox and Friends have picked up on the storyline — and they're not exactly thrilled with it. The breakfast show hosts not only call Sam Wilson's appointment as Captain America a PR stunt, but also say that his "new, odd enemy" portrays "ordinary Americans" as villainous.
