A deaf and mute Indian woman who wandered across the border into Pakistan as a child 15 years ago is set to return home after she recognized her family in a photograph, India’s foreign ministry said. Pakistani security forces found Geeta, who goes by only one name, near Pakistan’s eastern border with India in 2001. Since then, she has been in the care of the Edhi Foundation, one of Pakistan’s largest charities headed by the country’s most famous philanthropist, Abdul Sattar Edhi.
