Bien après l'âge du bronze véritable, un alliage nouveau est né des fonderies ligériennes : c'est le romantisme assemblé à l'after beat, les hurlements mariés à la virtuosité, le premier chant du diable soudé au rythme infernal. The Mallet-Horn Jazz Band n'invente pas de nouvel instrument, il invente un nouvel assemblage, une nouvelle sonorité née d'instruments dont l'origine se perd au fond des âges : un marimba, un vibraphone, une contrebasse, une batterie et... une horde de cors d'harmonie menée par son Maître Arkady Schilkloper . Il ne bouleverse pas le répertoire du jazz et du Big Band, il le revisite, le tord, le crie, le susurre...
Ainsi, de cet ensemble, vous connaissiez déjà tout, mais vous n'avez jamais entendu cela ...........
Une section rythmique ciselée, brillante, des talents de Mogan Cornebert (Batterie) et Ivan Gélugne (contrebasse à cordes), sertie de deux claviers forgés dans un métal rare : Benoit Lavollée (Vibraphone) et Renaud Détruit (Vibraphone), liés par les griffes des cors au spectre de couleurs , de nuances et d'ambitus si étendu. Une parure extravagante pour un répertoire de standards et de créations.

A brilliantly hewn rhythm section, with the talents of Mogan Cornebert - drums and Ivan Gélugne - double-bass, embellished with two keyboards forged in metal: Benoit Lavollée and Renaud Détruit - vibraphones, bound to the claws of the French horns using such a broad spectrum of colours, nuances and tonal ranges. An extravagant line-up for standard jazz repertoire and original compositions.
