North American law firms sue Volkswagen for emissions fraud in diesel cars

Washington, Sep 24 (EFE).- A number of North American law firms are have filed class action lawsuits against Volkswagen, claiming hundreds of millions of dollars in damages for emissions fraud in its diesel automobiles.

In the last few days, at least nine law firms from the U.S. and two from Canada have announced the filing of class action lawsuits against the German automobile maker after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, revealed Volkswagen tampered with its diesel vehicles to falsify emissions.
