AirBnB to collect 'tourist tax' for Paris accommodation

The short-term letting site AirBnB has agreed to collect an €0.83 per night "tourist tax" from its users for stays in the French capital. The company had been under pressure from Paris authorities to collect the tax after hotels complained of unfair competition. Also today: half a million people have asked Microsoft's virtual assistant Cortana to tell them a joke in the past month.
