Ecuador's Cotopaxi volcano awakens after 75 years

Ecuador’s Cotopaxi Volcano continued rumbling, spewing smoke and ash and forcing nearby residents to take precautions. In the town of El Pedregal, located about 15 kilometers from the volcano, the Red Cross distributed emergency kits to dozens of residents. The kits included masks, goggles and blankets. The last eruption took place in 1940.
