A movement that started in earnest to save the Jalan Sultan area of Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown is fast becoming a alternative arts venue of the city.

The movement, spearheaded by a church group which is facing demolition as a result of the new mass rail system used the arts to demonstrate their objection to the threats the underground MRT system will pose to old, colonial era buildings.
