Alleged victim of police brutality laid to rest after 141 days

After more than four months in a hospital morgue, the body of a man who was allegedly handcuffed, chased and beaten by police officers and members of the public has finally been laid to rest. 40-year-old security guard C Sugumar was buried at the Cheras 11th mile burial ground on Wednesday morning.
