Shahrir Samad, the Member of Parliament for Johor Bahru is happy with developments taking place in the Iskandar region and is unperturbed with criticism that it benefits Singaporeans rather than Johor residents.
He says he uses a rudimentary, village style of measurement to gauge the success of the Iskandar region. His constituency of Johor Bahru is within the Iskandar development region and is designated Flagship A.
