Beijing Celebrates 2022 Winter Olympics Bid Victory

Thousands of people celebrated Beijing winning its nomination to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, in front of the iconic Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium in the Chinese capital, Friday. Over 2,000 people gathered outside the stadium to watch the announcement of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) live, which awarded Beijing host of the 2022 Winter Games with a majority vote over Kazakhstan's biggest city, Almaty.
