Dr APJ Kalam and the nuclear deal

A scientist by qualification and a nationalist at heart, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was more than just a master of words. He was one of India's most eminent scientists. The missile man who led India's second nuclear test in Pokhran was the Chief scientist of at DRDO when India tested her nuclear power in 1998. Kalam was an open supporter of the Indo-US nuclear deal and played a pivotal role in placing India on the nuclear map.
