Expressing condolence over the demise of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, eminent scientist and recipient of Bharat Ratna CNR Rao on Tuesday (July 28) said, "Dr Kalam wanted India to shine, everything he did in his life was for this, he wanted India to be very powerful." "Dr Kalam was the simplest human being I have ever known. His simplicity was the greatest quality he had, bigger you get simpler you become, he was like that. Whatever I have known of him, wherever I have worked with him, I have the highest regard for him as a human being and as an Indian, he said. "Dr Kalam even passed away while talking to children, god must have blessed him. Its a wonderful way to go away, saying good bye to the world doing exactly what you like," he added. Kalam suffered a massive cardiac arrest and collapsed during a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Shillong last evening.
