PATiENTS is a hybrid punk band that exceeds the limits of the genre in an anti-punk way. With the objective of delighting everyone living in this tough world, the band creates very bright sounds as opposed their dark lyrics. We're going to have an in-depth conversation with the trio at their hideout and also get to hear about what led them to advance in the U.K.
PATiENTS was formed in 2006 by bassist and vocalist Jo Su-min, drummer Lee Jae-hyuk and guitarist Baek Joon-myung, who was later replaced with keyboardist Kwon Hyuck-jang. Upon releasing the first album, "Kitsch Space," in 2011, the threesome incorporated a variety of sounds into their music to created their distinct musical style - hybrid punk - whilst having their roots in punk rock. The second album, "18," was released this past April, and the band also took part in Liverpool Sound City in the U.K. for 2 straight years, further establishing their spot in the world of punk.
