An RTI query two months back had revealed how bureaucrats in Uttarakhand misused funds meant for flood relief, by producing fake bills. Even though State Information Commissioner indicted the officers, Chief Secretary of the state has now given a clean chit to the officers claiming no irregularities were found. The Opposition however question the ruling Government's hesitation in ordering a CBI probe into the alleged scam.
