PRESENTED BY JOAQUINA MALDONADO
Formed in late 2007 by Juan Manuel (Piano, vocals) who just returned from Toronto where he was part of the redbull music academy, El Abuelo (Bass), Jerson (Drums), El Tio (Horns, vocals).
TORREBLANCA is a rock / pop / alternative Mexican independent band. A young and vibrant group of musicians who, despite their very different musical background, amazingly complement each other creating a unique and fresh sound.
TORREBLANCA are lost and found in the Musical creation. Whether in studio or live, they seek to offer unpredictable topics. Elegant, intense and well played music which visceral and honest interpretation thrills audiences.
TORREBLANCA has been very well received and gained a considerable fan base through the years, after synchronizing “Roma” one of their most sounded singles for the advertising campaign of the most important mobile phone company in México and Latin America their reach expand to places they wouldn ́t imagine in their early years.
Currently they released "El Polvo En La Luz", (Arts & Crafts Mexico, Nacional Records 2014). Second studio material, which promises to position the band as one of the most important Latin American acts of the moment.
Although a 4 man band they've always shared their music with many musicians: Andrea Balency, Carmen Ruiz (Centavrvs), Dan Zlotnik, Didi Gutman, Javiera Mena, Peter Buck, Iraida Noriega and Natalia Lafurcade have joined the band, in some cases as collaborators and in others as part of the band. At this moment the band is playing with Natalie Reyes (Tigria), Sergio Silva (Furland) and Nestor Varela.
