Geeta belongs to a poor family and lives with her mother in a small one room apartment. She works as a typist in an organization. She likes to dance and sing, and does the same at work place, due to which she ends up losing her job. Her boss's son, Suresh, finds out about her dancing skills, and hopes to utilize her talent as a singer and dancer in his drama company. Geeta accepts Suresh's offer. Eventually Geeta becomes a super star in a short duration of time and rises to fame. Geeta is gaining popularity day by day and is replacing the lead actresses. Suresh misunderstands Geeta and thinks that she has forgotten his love and sacrifice and seeks an avenge from her. In a fit of rage, Suresh gets deviated from his aim of becoming an actor and loses all money and opportunities that come his way and ends up working as a mechanic in a garage. Coincidentally, one day Geeta comes to the same garage Suresh works at. Due to major fault in Geeta's car, Suresh drops her home in another car but she is still unaware of his identity. On reaching Geeta's home, Suresh finds his photos everywhere on the wall and realizes that she has not forgotten him. He feels sorry for misunderstanding her.
