The release of the 2014 film "Whiplash" certainly left its mark on Korea--audiences were captivated by the twisted relationship between the protagonist and his demanding teacher, who cruelly pushed his student past his limits for the sake of helping him reach his full potential.
Increasingly, corporal punishment is a thing of the past in schools all over the world, and many believe that it's praise and encouragement which helps students grow and improve. But does it take a harsher approach to become truly great? And if so, is that greatness worth the price of admission? This week, Shooters asks, "Should teachers push students to the limits?"
