Mumbai: The crime branch's interception of the mobile conversation between contract killers and the NCP functionary who had hired them to eliminate a BJP vice-president exposed the murder plot and led to the arrest of seven gangsters, said police officials. NCP activist Kunal Patil had awarded the contract of Rs 1 crore to eliminate Mahesh Patil due to a long-standing family feud.
