Rubén Oseguera 'El Menchito', son of the presumed leader of the powerful and violent New Generation drug cartel, was released from prison and promptly re-arrested yesterday by Mexican authorities. El Menchito had been arrested and charged with being second in command of the cartel, but was released for lack of evidence.
