Bayern Munich coach Josep ‘Pep’ Guardiola came out to Munich’s Literature House for a special reading of his one-time friend, the deceased Catalan poet Miquel Marti i Pol, in the Catalan language. Famed Catalan poet Miquel Marti i Pol quit studying at 14 but his love of poetry drove him to publish his work anyway. He continued publishing poetry throughout his life despite developing multiple sclerosis. Guardiola met Pol in 1997 while he was captain of FC Barcelona.
