We’re incredibely excited to bring you the world-premiere of Hauschka’s and múm's newest orchestral piece: Drowning.

Drowning is a new multi-part orchestral work in collaboration with the Estonian-American conductor Kristjan Järvi and the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra. The piece was commissioned as part of Hauschka´s residency with the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra 2014/15. It’s inspired by a quote by Federico Garcia Lorca: "I can´t listen to you. I cant listen to your voice. lt´s as though l'd drunk a bottle of anise and fallen asleep wrapped in a quilt of roses. lt pulls me along - and I know l'm drowning but I go on down“.

The broadcast is a collaboaration with MDR, MDR Figaro and the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra.
