Ahmedabad: The high prices of fruits are making people think twice before going for big purchases. Prices of a majority of the fruits have increased since the beginning of Ramzan month and Adhik Maas or Purushottama month. Fruits are increasingly becoming ‘unaffordable’ as the prices have skyrocketed by 40-45% particularly in metros and major cities due to unseasonal rain over the last few months, reveals the ASSOCHAM paper.
